This is the ancient 1/48 Monogram kit.  Its pretty rough and definitely shows its age, so it was a perfect kit to build a What If model.  I decided to build it as an Israeli SAM Killer.

The kit was completely rescribed and used a wide variety of spare parts from other kits.  The cockpit was destroyed prior to the build (eaten by my dog), so I replaced it with a True Details F-8 cockpit.  The fuel tanks and chaff/flair buckets were from the Monogram A-10 kit.  The AGM-88s, AIM-120s, AIM-9s, and HTS pod were from the Hasegawa F-16 kit.  Decals were from an Eagle Strike set.

The Sports Illustrated magazine with Bar Rafali on the cover was added at the last minute.
