Long time ago I
found an old OZE kit of the Su-7BKL, and so I built my first Su-7, it was the
Revell release of this kit, so it became the Indian THUNDERBIRDS painting (black
fuselage and a yellow nose).
Later I found this
kit at ebay Germany, and I bought three of them.

The first kit became
the original Su-7BKL in a m ettalic
finish.
The second kit became the Su-9 A.
I made two pairs of deltawings: one for the Su-9, and the second for the Su-11.
I also modified the vertical fin, the gear, the additional airintake and the
cockpit had to be moved 5 mm backwards. The arms were taken from a
HOBBYCRAFT MiG-17 PFU.

The third kit became the Su-11 A.
Here it was quite difficult to modify the original kit in a way, that
looks like the Su-11. The whole nose including the cockpit was made
by myself. The vertical fin and the gear were also modified. The arms were
taken from the
TRUMPETER Su-15 TM.
There are no 1/48 kits of the
Su-9 and Su-11, so it was the only way for me to complete my collection of
Soviet jets - build them myself, and I think it looks quite okay. My next
projects are a Mil Mi-24 A (Revell Hind D), a Su-34 (Minihobby Su-30) and a
Ye-8 (Academy MiG-21MF).
See you soon.
