1/32 Hasegawa P-51D Mustang

This was the 2nd NMF kit that I ever attempted, (with the exception of the ones when I was a kid with that bottle of silver testor's enamel and a brush) and I was quite pleased with how it turned out.  The method I used was somewhat unorthodox, and I've never heard anyone mention it on any forums.  I used Testor's aluminum metalizer, and then went at it HEAVILY with 2500 grit sandpaper, then buffed the whole thing with an emery board, then coated the entire finish with future to seal it.  I have no idea if this technique would work regularly or if I just got lucky, since I haven't tried it again.

I also did quite a bit of scratchbuilding, with mixed results, primarily in the engine compartment.  The cockpit is simply painted OTB.  I used no aftermarket products on the kit with the exception of the national markings from the spares box.  The paint scheme is obviously not accurate, I just had in mind what I wanted it to look like and went from there.
